Department Team
The Town Planning Section is overall responsible for monitoring, supervising, coordinating, regulating and and guide Council and developers on town planning activities, such as land use, applications in terms of the Town Planning Scheme, relevant government statutes on land administration, within the Town Boundaries.
The property section is responsible for monitoring, supervising and coordinating and disposal of immovable and non-movable properties on behalf of Council in terms of the Local Authorities Act. The section further ensures the proper records of all properties in maintained and property registration.
The building control is responsible for monitoring, supervising and coordinating the building activities of Council and private initiated developments within the Town boundaries and enforce adherence of Council’s building control by-laws.
The water section is responsible for monitoring, supervising, coordinating, maintenance and operating functionality of Council’s water, treatment infrastructure and facilities and distribution of water.
The sewer section is responsible for monitoring, supervising, coordinating, maintenance and operating functionality of Council’s sewer and treated effluent infrastructure and facilities and disposal works. The section is further responsible for monitoring, supervising, coordinating and maintenance of Council’s Road and storm water infrastructure.
The fire emergency section is responsible for monitoring, supervising, coordinating and safeguarding of any fire outbreak within Karibib and surrounding.
